Dr. Jenny Friedman is the heart and soul of West Arvada Orthodontics – she is the driving force behind everything that makes our patients’ smile. 

Dr. Friedman was born and raised in Louisville, KY and got her first taste of working in an orthodontic clinic at age 15. She always knew she wanted to be a doctor and that, combined with her love of art, drove her towards orthodontics. Dr. Friedman sees orthodontics care as a beautiful blend between art and science. 

She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Masters of Science in Anatomical and Neurobiological Sciences (MS) with a sub-specialization in airway orthodontics in 2008 at the University of Louisville and went on to specialize in orthodontics; receiving her Certificate of Orthodontics in 2010 at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. 

 

Passionate

Within the orthodontic field, her passions are Early Treatment and treating jaw pain caused by TMJ & TMD. When it comes to Early Treatment, Dr. Friedman feels that treating the whole head of a developing child can make the greatest impact on their health and smile – from opening airways to creating room for adult teeth. Her philosophy is to avoid braces at this stage as much as possible, depending upon many different removable appliances to create the space needed for healthy jaw growth. 

For all her patients, regardless of age, Dr. Friedman is interested in treating the whole head as opposed to individual teeth. “I use my sense of aesthetics to give my patients beautiful smiles; but more importantly, to give them excellent bites that will last forever.” She believes that a stable occlusion between the teeth and the musculature of the face is important so that her patients don’t need to stay in retainers for the rest of their lives. 

When it comes to adults, she is passionate about treating TMJ and TMD. Jaw pain in adults is treatable and Dr. Friedman is sought out for her specialized care in this area. 

 

Caring

Everyone at West Arvada Orthodontics truly cares about each and every person who walks through our practice door and Dr. Friedman is known to bend over backwards for her patients. She knows that other practices can get so busy that they don’t have the luxury of time to spend with each patient. At West Arvada Orthodontics, Dr. Friedman will be much more involved in your treatment with the effect of ensuring your treatment is as efficient and successful as possible. 

When asked what she loves most about orthodontics, she replied, “Making people happy and feel good about their treatment. Good results make me excited and the happiness is infectious.”
