Meet Dr Friedman Orthodontist
Dr. Jennifer Ann Friedman, DMD, MS | Orthodontist
She has a special interest in providing Early Orthodontic Treatment for Kids to her growing patients to prevent more invasive treatment in the future. She is also dedicated to helping patients breathe better their entire lives by opening their airways through jaw orthopedics. Her other special interest is to soothe TMJ (jaw joint) or facial pain symptoms that may be caused by the bite via decreasing pressure on the chewing system by improving the bite. Regardless of what the patient’s unique needs may be, however, Dr. Friedman enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Dr. Friedman completed her orthodontic residency, obtaining a Certificate of Orthodontics, in 2010 at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Masters of Science in Anatomical and Neurobiological Sciences (MS) in 2008 at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was born and raised. Her B.A. is from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004. Dr. Friedman obtained her Master’s degree while performing pioneering research in the Dental Sleep Apnea field. Her breakthrough research was published in 2009, as well as her research on facial features on airway restriction has been quoted over 50 times in subsequent airway research articles. She has lectured to over a dozen dental and orthodontic organizations on airway and sleep apnea topics.
Dr. Friedman grew up immersed in art and music, taking two hours of art every day in high school, playing the viola since she was five years old, and singing soprano in choir from the age of 13. She lives with her husband, Ronen, and her cuddly standard poodle, Lilah, in the mountains of Golden. The three of them enjoy rock climbing together when they get a break from working hard at West Arvada Orthodontics. Dr. Friedman is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
